Paul Abatemarco joins Stardust as executive producer for West Coast studio

After leading Sound Lounge's successful start-up music division for over a year, Brad Stratton has joined Bang Music in New York as executive producer. He will immediately team with Bang partners Lyle Greenfield and Brian Jones in all aspects of the company's strategic operations, and will also oversee with Jones all music production.

In the past decade Stratton has been around the world of music—literally. From Polygram-signed recording artist in the Czech Republic performing 120 nights a year throughout Europe…to V.P./Director of Music Production for D'Arcy New York…to senior music producer at Fluid Post…to executive producer at Sound Lounge Music.

Stratton actually interviewed at Bang nearly nine years ago, according to Greenfield, Bang's president. “Brad had just returned to the U.S. from Prague, where he'd been composing and producing music for Czech television as well as recording & touring—but we had no opening at the time. He's a true Renaissance man, and done great things since being back in the States. But now we've got him—and confiscated his passport, so he's staying at Bang.”

Stratton met Bang partner Jones during his stint as VP/Director of Music Production for D'Arcy (1999-2002), where Stratton managed a multi-million dollar music budget overseeing all aspects of his department's work, from selection of vendors to creative direction to negotiation of licenses. Jones believes Stratton's experience makes him uniquely qualified to position the company for growth in the U.S as well as in Europe, which in turn will allow senior producer, Sara Russo, to devote more time with Bang's West Coast partners. “There's no standing still in this industry today,” notes Jones, "...you need great leadership, experience and vision. Brad brings it all."
