Paul Abatemarco joins Stardust as executive producer for West Coast studio

TORONTO, CANADA - February 25, 2008 - Jacquie Rushlow joins the Commercials team at character boutique guru studio in Toronto where she will work alongside Senior Producer Amy Robson.

Rushlow comes to guru with VFX and live-action experience, having worked in both television and commercials as a Production Coordinator.  Rushlow began her career as a shooter on Direct Kicks, a television series about soccer that saw her travel all over the world. From there she worked as a producer/videographer, in entertainment news shooting Film Festivals, Promos and Press Conferences throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Rushlow then moved into a VFX role at Spin Productions where she worked as an editorial assistant. Always inspired to tell a story, Rushlow recently produced, shot, and edited her very own documentary “Shifting Gears”.

Founded in 2000, guru studio is an award-winning animation design and production company specializing in characters for television and film. Their creatively driven team has won numerous awards including Clio, Promax, BDA, Telly and Mobius as well as being featured in several international festivals and publications including SIGGRAPH, Pictoplasma, Applied Arts, The Ottawa International Animation Festival, Anima Mundi and The Annecy Festival in France. Their talented animators and directors have worked with an impressive roster of international advertisers, broadcasters and development companies including Leo Burnett London, DDB NY, Ogilvy and Mather, FCB Chicago, Hallmark Entertainment, in addition to Nelvana and Nick Jr. on the award winning TV series “The Backyardigans.”
