Paul Abatemarco joins Stardust as executive producer for West Coast studio

Silo Films welcomes comedy director Jonathan Nowak and documentary/action sports filmmaker Steve Olpin to a roster that includes directors Luis Ruiz, Morgan Lawley and Jim Byrkit.

Writer-director Jonathan Nowak began his career as an agency creative at Fallon-Minneapolis where he polished his filmmaking skills on work for United Airlines, Miller Brewing, BMW Films and Starbucks.  Since then, he has brought his off-beat comic sensibility to commercials for international clients such as McDonald’s, Nissan, Citibank and Lee Dungarees.  Jonathan’s short film Suspension was honored with an award at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.  Jonathan has just wrapped his latest project  “The Artic Quadrangle” for Redfeather Snowshoes with Carmichael Lynch.

Steve Olpin observes people on film.  His documentary style, a self-proclaimed “creative treatment of reality”, has exposed the general public to numerous action sports stars (BMX superstars Cory Nastazio and TJ Lavin), the French fans of the Tour de France (“Excuse My French” segments for OLN) as well as behind-the-scenes looks of Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre.  His commercial work includes spots for Outdoor Life Network, Subaru, GT, Schwinn and Speed Stick.

Silo Films is represented on the East Coast by Rich Schafler of Schafler Artists at 212 750 8111 and in the West by Yvette Lupinsky at 310 827 2626. Additional information regarding Silo Films and its roster can be found at their new website www.silofilmsproductions.com, launching in mid-February 2008 or by contacting Executive Producer Alexis Magagni Seely at 310-390-1687.
